RESULTS of the ON-LINE COMPETITION: the best project photo, the most creative project logo and the most interesting project website!
In order to present the visual tools used by the South Baltic Programme projects, the Programme announced an open competition among the projects in three categories: I. the best project photo, II. the most creative project logo, III. the most interesting project website.

In July 2011, all the projects being implemented within the Programme were invited to take active part in the competition by submitting the project photos, logos and nominating the project website for online voting that was opened from mid October till mid November 2011. In total, 10 projects sent the photos reflecting the project idea, 18 projects submitted creative project logos and 13 projects nominated their websites for the on-line competition.

The winners were announced on 29 November 2011 during the South Baltic Annual Conference in Schwerin in Germany. The South Baltic Awards ceremony was conducted by Ms Marta Plichta, the Head of the JTS and awards presented to the winning projects by Ms Elisabeth Strupp, The Chairperson of the South Baltic Programme Steering and Monitoring Committees in 2011, Ministry of Economics, Labour and Tourism Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

In total 1 318 votes were collected during on-line voting.

Household Participation in Waste Management (HPWM) – 345 votes

II. The winner in the category the most creative project logo was:

The South Baltic WebLab - a virtual laboratory on marine science for school students (Baltic WebLab) - 542 votes

III. The winner in the category the most interesting project website was:

Joint development of cross-border tourism information products by South Baltic oceanographic museums (BalticMuseums 2.0) – 434 votes
